1. When should I call to schedule a newborn session?

It is best to contact me while you are still pregnant; 3-4 months before your due date is ideal. This will allow me to schedule your due date and start preparing for your custom session.

2. What if my baby is already born and I want you to take his/her newborn photos?

No worries, as long as I have room in my schedule to fit you in, I am more than happy to do so.

3. What happens in a consultation (for any session)?

This is a great time for me to sit down with you and for us to get to know one another. I like to take that time to get a feel for your style and anything you would like to see during your photo shoot. I have you fill out a questionnaire so I can start putting together backdrops, props, and outfits needed for your session. After the consultation, we then continue contact through email/phone to finalize all the details. This is also the time when I collect the deposit to reserve your session.

4. What if I am not able to make it to an in person consultation?

Do not worry; there have been a few times that this has occurred. We then communicate through email and/or phone if need be.

5. What do I need to bring to the session?

Besides the obvious diapers, wipes, formula (if needed), you are not required to bring anything. If you wish to have anything specific in your photo shoot such as a guitar, blanket, personal prop, you are more than welcome to bring them to the shoot.

6. Do I get to pick the photos?

Due to the fact that many different things go into editing one photo, (contrast, coloring, subject positions, etc.); I do not let clients choose their photos. By doing this, it allows the editing process go much quicker as well. I work hard to ensure the best photos are chosen and edited.

7. When and how will I receive my completed photos?

All sessions take anywhere from 2-3 weeks for full editing. Once they are complete you will receive and email where you can instantly download them to your computer, as well as share the link with family and friends. If you would like your photos on a CD, I am happy to provide this for you, for an additional $10 fee. If you will receive prints, they will either be mailed, or available for pick up when they arrive and have been looked over by myself (I do this ensure proper printing quality).

Sessions between September-December may be subject to a longer editing time frame.

8. Is it possible to receive my photos sooner than the estimated time frame?

Yes, I am happy to have your entire session complete within 3-5 days of a photoshoot for an additional $50-$75 fee. *subject to restrictions

9. How does the payment plan work?

I require the $100 retainer fee to reserve your session. The day of the photo shoot you will then pay half of the remaining amount and when the photos are done/ready for pickup, the final balance is due. If you would like to work out a different payment plan, be sure to mention it during the consultation and we can work something out. I do not release the images until the session is paid in full.

10. What happens if I lose my images or my computer crashes?

I am happy to resend you the digital images, for an additional fee of $50 within the first year of your session (not all sessions are kept past one year, but never hurts to ask if it is over the year mark).
